A Community That Stands Together for Women’s Health
Estancia continues to strengthen its commitment to women’s health as it joins the Global Cervical Cancer Elimination Program under the Phase 3 rollout of the SUCCESS FAP Project—supported by Expertise France and Unitaid and implemented locally by the Cancer Warriors Foundation, Inc. As one of three UUA–GIDA municipalities selected for this initiative, Estancia is set to provide free HPV DNA self-testing kits to women aged 30–49, ensuring that even those in remote and underserved areas gain access to life-saving cervical cancer screening.
A Prayer Brigade Filled With Purpose and Hope
This afternoon, the Estancia community gathered for a meaningful Global Cervical Cancer Elimination Day Prayer Brigade, offering heartfelt prayers for health, healing, and protection. Led by the Municipal Health Office (MHO), the activity emphasized the importance of early testing and proactive steps to prevent cervical cancer—one of the most preventable yet still life-threatening diseases affecting women worldwide.
Employees and staff from various departments united in prayer, symbolizing solidarity with women who are at risk and those who continue to fight for their health. The atmosphere reflected not only faith, but also a shared resolve to spread awareness and promote early screening through the new HPV self-collection program.
A Community Moving Together Toward Prevention
The MHO highlighted that the Prayer Brigade is more than a symbolic gesture—it is a reminder that cervical cancer prevention begins with awareness, action, and community support. By embracing HPV self-testing, Estancia is promoting a simple, convenient, and highly effective method for detecting risks early, long before they become life-threatening.
With Phase 3 bringing cervical cancer services closer to homes and barangays, Estancia is taking decisive steps to protect its women, uplift families, and strengthen the overall health of the community.
Together, We Can End Cervical Cancer
“Ululupod kita sa pagtapna sang Cervical Cancer!” echoes as a powerful call throughout Estancia—a reminder that preventing this disease requires unity, compassion, and shared responsibility.
As Estancia moves forward with the cervical cancer elimination activities, the municipality stands as a beacon of hope and collective action. Through prayer, education, and accessible preventive care, the community is helping turn the vision of a cervical cancer-free future into a reality.
