SUCCESS-FAP (Scale Up Cervical Cancer Elimination with Secondary Prevention Strategy – Asia Pacific) expands access to HPV screening and timely treatment for women in unserved, underserved, and geographically isolated communities—contributing to the global goal of eliminating cervical cancer by 2030.

Our Approach
Secondary Prevention That Works
SUCCESS-FAP focuses on secondary prevention—detecting HPV early and treating precancerous lesions before cancer develops.
Our integrated approach includes:

HPV DNA testing using high-performance diagnostics

Self-sampling, offering privacy, dignity, and convenience

Screen-and-treat models, including thermal ablation

Community-based outreach and health worker engagement
-
Strong referral pathways for continuity of care
This model is aligned with the WHO 90-70-90 targets and adapted to real-world settings.

Where We Work
From Island Communities to Regional Impact
SUCCESS-FAP is currently implemented in the Philippines, with a focus on Iloilo Province and the island municipalities of Carles, Estancia, and Lemery—areas classified as geographically isolated and disadvantaged (GIDA).
By working in complex island and rural settings, the program generates evidence and models that can be adapted across the Asia-Pacific region, where similar barriers to care exist.
A Strong Global–Local Partnership
SUCCESS-FAP is supported by Unitaid and implemented with technical leadership from Expertise France.
In the Philippines, the program is led by Cancer Warriors Foundation, working closely with government, civil society, and community partners.
Together, these partnerships ensure that global commitments translate into local action and measurable impact.
